This is a very scarce martingale badge for the Metropolitan Police. These are worn as part of the horse fittings on military and police horses. They are worn on the chest between the fore legs. The metal badge is over 3 inches in height and is fitted to brown leather horse furniture. This is most likely from the late 1950s to the 1960s.
