Instituted in 2001 and awarded to military personnel of the troops of the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation for excellent performance in training; for distinction in the performance of military duties; for merit in the protection of public order and public security; for courage, dedication and high achievements displayed during military service. It was discontinued in 2013 and is no longer awarded.
