A service dress tunic for a General of Division (Major General) French Army with the unit patch worn by the 3rd Army Corps from 1979-84. The 3 rank stars are correctly sewn into the sleeves. This came with other uniforms and effects of General Bernard Jacques le Seigneur. Amongst other roles he was Adjutant to the Governor of the Paris Military Region, Commander of the 3rd Army Corps and of the 1st Military Region in 1982. This tunic dates from his time in that role.

The tunic measures 16 inches across the shoulders, 20 inches across the chest (so about a 40 inch chest), the sleeves are 24 inches in length and the tunic is 30 inches long when measured down the back. There are some small signs of mothing in one section of the front (see photos) and at the back of one sleeve. This is factored into the asking price of what is otherwise a very scarce tunic.
